Schools Programme

Schools Programme

We strongly feel that vocational learning is the best way forward for many of our students. Our schools programme is aimed at introducing students to the many occupations available within the construction industry. We believe that combining theory with strong practical elements of our courses, not only gives the students the best possible experience but caters for all types of learners. This experience gives students a strong foundation on which to build their future career.

What does our programme offer?

City & Guilds Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Basic Construction Skills (Equivalent of 1 GCSE grade D - G)
Edexcel Construction Skills Qualification (Equivalent of 2 GCSEs grade A* - C)
A taster of the different careers within the construction industry
Practical based training
Quality and beneficial learning
Safe learning environment
Accredited courses
Facility to host computerised examinations

* All staff at our business have undergone an advanced CRB check and have all been certified. *

Candidates must achieve 8 units from a choice of 57.
The modules we currently offer are:

Joinery
Painting & Decorating
Plumbing
Plastering
Wall & Floor Tiling
Brickwork & Electrical

Our programme has proven very successful this year with our students achieving a 100% pass rate !

The programme consists of a 3 hour training session per week, during each academic year. However we aim to provide our students with the best possible training and we can offer flexible training and alternative delivery methods. We liaise with our partner schools providing reports on student progress, deliver student reviews, provide details of projects set, seek active involvement of students for site visits or additional activities, to ensure a wide variety of experience and quality education for all our students. We also operate our own computerised and handwritten examination centre and are able to provide examinations for all our students.
